August Workstream Meeting

Pete Easterbrook provided an overview of Operation Resolute and recent development, including the establishment of a Qualifications Integrity Unit, and license suspensions. Discussion were had around physical intervention methodology, an in-person events, and a communications campaign.

July Workstream Meeting

The session further developed ideas for a communications campaign. Webinar content was discussed, with ideas focusing on competency, responsible buying practices, and accountability. The conversation also touched on wider issues around recruitment and training processes.

June Workstream Meeting

An update was given around the operational activity, including a recent enforcement initiative. The workstream members discussed ideas for a comms campaign, focusing on reporting routes, education on the risks of malpractice, and barriers of reporting.

May Workstream Meeting

This session outlined the importance of reporting training malpractice. It was agreed that the objectives and campaigns within this workstream should encourage businesses to report as well as educating on correct reporting routes.

April Workstream Meeting

This session provided an overview of the purpose of the workstream, and presented the core deliverables for the year. The SIA were in attendance and provided an in-depth update on Operation Resolute, inspection activity, and non-approved centers. Members also delved into an open discussion around training malpractice, including concerns, risks and experiences.

The workstream lead and registered members meet for the first time

The first Training Malpractice meeting brought together industry stakeholders to set the direction for the workstream. Members considered the existing regulatory framework, identified the main challenges and planned their next steps.
