Security Minister Meeting

S12 quarterly meeting with Security Minister Dan Jarvis at the Home Office. This meeting will cover S12 achievements to date, outline upcoming priorities, and share current industry feedback (ACS fees/BAS). The key workstream topics to be discussed are: MR7/MR8, the lobbying petition, and the intorduction to the Non-ACS workstream.

S12 Strategic Quarterly Board

A key meeting which brought together the members of the S12 to review governance, fincances and strategic progress against objectives and deliverables. The meeting included key updates from external speakers, including an awareness session on the Regulatory Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA) to understand current gaps and opportunities to further support activity across our S12 workstreams.

October's Monthly Meeting

The S12 discussed inclusivity, governance, and communication priorities. Key actions included progressing financial arrangements, re-advertising the PR and Secretariat roles, launching an industry-wide workstream consultation, and enhancing the S12 website and stakeholder engagement. Updates were also shared on Martyn’s Law, Real Living Wage, and government collaboration.

S12 meets with Security Minister, Home Office and SIA for the first time

The newly formed Security Guarding Leadership Group (S12) held its inaugural meeting with Security Minister Dan Jarvis MBE, the Home Office, and the SIA at the International Security Expo, Olympia London. During the session, Chair Paul Evans and Deputy Chair Peter Harrison formally introduced the group and its members, outlining the S12’s overarching purpose and mission.
