Security Guarding Leadership Group

The S12 has three strategic objectives to champion higher standards in the industry, support change and improve public safety. There are nine workstreams that the S12 will use to collaborate with industry and the government to drive progress against each objective.

About the S12

The S12 brings together security leaders to work as a collective with the Government and the Security Minister. Their mandate is to address and elevate critical industry issues, promote higher standards and professionalism, enhance public safety, and positively shape the perception of the security guarding sector.

The progress

Next steps and key dates

The S12 has established 6 primary workstreams and 3 secondary workstreams. The primary workstreams are where the S12 aims to lead, lobby and drive for industry change. The secondary workstreams are where the S12 will support, shape and contribute to wider industry legislation changes. So far, nearly 400 people have joined specific workstreams to take those issues forward, and regular meetings have been scheduled.
